Description
Heading to the Big Apple in a couple of weeks and what better picture to finish before my trip than a Gargoyles-related one?
Here we have my character Khiya (a Gargoyle from Egypt) taking a bit of a "joyride" of her own with poor Lexington hanging on for dear life The plan was to take Khiya out on a tour of the Big Apple and well, since she's never wanted to have anything to do with anything modern, riding a motorcycle proves to be beyond wild for her. Maybe a bit too wild though, eh, Khiya? Sorry, Lex, but I'm afraid you may have to build yet another motorcycle after this is all said and done.
Next to Sailor Moon and MLP, Gargoyles is my other favorite series. I tried to maintain the show's cel-shading style for this one because well, it's awesome! I used to draw Gargoyles stuff all the time, but stopped when my art hiatus occurred. Since my art skills have stepped up since then, I haven't done anything from that fandom, which is blasphemy because I still love that series to death. Hopefully, I can get around to getting my ideas off the ground for a comic in this universe as well I have a feeling I'm going to be a very busy gal next year! But I'm ready for it
Can you believe that the sketch I did for this is actually nearly 10 years old? Thankfully, it doesn't take me that long to complete a picture (only 7! LoL jking)
While I was taking out the trash tonight, I happened to look up and spot a shooting star. That's when I remembered that tonight was the night of the Geminid Meteor Shower I stayed outside and saw about 11 shooting stars, it was so beautiful So I guess adding the little shooting star in the corner of the image was my subconscious tapping into that beforehand
Enjoy and thank you all for a wonderful year of art, friendship, awesomeness, and stories! I look forward to sharing more in 2018, so stay tuned because next year is my year
Comments are very much appreciated

There's an epic story behind this and I wanna read it.
